Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning, designing, installation, sourcing, commissioning, and operation of   new equipment through the application of engineering principles and ensuring compliance with relevant, environmental, health and safety standards and legislation.

Carry out maintenance, investigation, repair and improvement of site equipment and facilities through planned and non-planned activities to maximise plant availability, meeting customer requirements and minimising engineering downtime.

Responsible for design, commissioning and installation of PLC and HMI equipment interlocks, power supply control and remote interface communications

Writing specifications, troubleshooting, debugging of code and testing of automation software for both PLC and HMI/SCADA

Manage CAPEX projects, service contracts and continuous improvement activities following lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications: 

Required skills, Knowledge and Experience

At least 5 years’ experience as multiskilled engineer with electrical/electronic engineering qualification

Experienced in Health, safety and environmental standards, regulation and legislation on electrical equipment, machinery, and manufacturing plants such as CE certification,ATEX, PUWER, BS 7671:2001

Experienced with high voltage systems and understanding the dangers of HV and requirements for personnel safety and equipment safety

Experienced in PLC and communicating interface such such as Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi etc

Ability to use 2D and 3 CAD such as AutoCAD, solid works to design hardware and software

Ability to design, read and interpret electronic, electrical, and mechanical engineering drawings
