Established in 1992, LCM are an award-winning supplier of bespoke alloys to the foundry sector and beyond, bringing strong expertise in all areas of alloy production including the specialism of rare earth metal alloys, sourcing and innovation.

Less Common Metals allows CMF foundry members access to specialty alloys, master alloys and rare earth metal alloys, along with expert advice and support in their use, crucial in an industry that is constantly innovating on behalf of its customers. I am particularly keen to discuss LCM’s focus on minimising the impact of their activity on the environment, as customers are asking questions of foundries regarding their supply chain and procurement.”

LCM use refined valuable raw materials to make bespoke alloys such as NiV, CrAl, CoCr, LaNi, NiCe, CoAl, TiFe and Inconel alloys among others using VIM processes with quantities as low as 5kg. They also offer raw material supply, toll melting, master alloys and manufacture NdFeB and SmCo for the magnetics industry, and are also very proud to be working towards establishing an alternative supply chain for Rare Earth Elements.
