Laboratory Analysis

Our laboratory is equipped to test the properties of inorganic materials.

Cast Products

We’re focussed on vacuum induction melting of alloys.

Raw Materials

A range of raw materials as little as 6kg – perfect for your research project needs.

Isotropic Bonded Powders

Isotropic powders are processed by rapid quenching methods. Isotropic magnetic powders can be used to produce bonded NdFeB magnets through amalgamation.

Anisotropic Bonded Powders

Anisotropic magnetic powders can be used to produce bonded magnets with maximum energy products twice that of the isotropic bonded magnets.

Co-reduction Products

SmCo alloy powders are produced through the reaction of mixed oxide with a reductant metal at elevated temperatures by induction melting.

What WE DO

LCM processes are focussed around vacuum induction melting of alloys.

The form of these materials varies from powders, through cast alloy ingots and cast shapes to rapidly cooled flake generated by strip casting. All of these materials include rare earth and non-rare earth containing alloys. We are continuously working to develop and secure a sustainable supply chain of rare earths.

SUSTAINABILITY

we are dedicated to a closed-loop circular economy.

At LCM, we’ve been driving sustainability and innovation for over 30 years through advanced material recycling. We’re all about giving materials a second life and building a closed-loop circular economy. This includes the sourcing and procurement of our raw materials, as well as the end-of-life impacts associated with the consumer products containing our metals and alloys.
