Our laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation and staffed by experienced analysts who are skilled in performing validated tests.
The Less Common Metals laboratory is an inorganic analytical laboratory equipped to test the elemental composition, micro-structural and physical properties of inorganic materials. It primarily acts as the quality control (QC) department for the production of metal alloys but has the capability to perform commercial analysis on a variety of inorganic materials.
Less Common Metals (LCM) produce bespoke alloys which are manufactured to high customer specifications. It is therefore vital that LCM has its own testing facilities to qualify the materials it makes.
LCM is constantly looking to meet new customer demands, so development trials are regularly undertaken for alloys we have never melted before.
The process is streamlined by the following five simple steps to ensure
LCM’s Analytical Chemists fully understand the clients requirements and deliver quick, accurate results.
All analytical methods have been developed in-house and the laboratory offers a 48-hour express service for analysis on those samples you just can’t wait for. For all other analysis, 10 working days is a standard.
